Are you a supporter or a hater? It’s pretty easy to tell where you fall when you look at it.
If you find yourself rolling your eyes, blocking people, hoping they’ll just “quit posting already”, and being generally annoyed, when people are sharing their businesses on social media… YOU ARE A HATER.
If you want to have success, you must encourage the success of others. I AM A SUPPORTER.
When my friend Siobhan Donohue posts that people should come to her deli, even though I do not plan to get on a plane to go get a sandwhich lol, I like and comment.
When my friend Victor A Villeda posts pictures of hair he’s done, although I am not in need a men’s barber in another state, I like and comment.
When my friend Carrie Snyder posts awesome articles about the housing market in Bellevue, although I am not in the market for a house, and I live in TX, I share.
When my friend Dani Kenney posts events she’s doing for women out in San Diego, even though I am not attending, I like and share.
When my friend Lindsey Boggs gets featured for an article on LinkedIn, or hits days 100 at Crossfit, I congratulate and share.
When Crystal Garduño got a new office, I named it for her on Facebook the first time I showed up for a wax, and I refer people to her every time I get a chance.
When Kevin Poe sends me boring newsletters about financial stuff, I read them, even though I couldn’t care any less about any of it LOL.
When Matthew M Sherman posts about a new beer he’s making, although I think beer is gross in general (hahaha sorry Matt), I like, comment, and tag people who might like it.
I could seriously type a list like this with over 100 names, and not one would have to do with coaching, my team, or my company.
These are just people in my life, who are choosing to share their passion for what they love to do, on Facebook. As a friend, they deserve my support.
So again, if you find yourself rolling your eyes, blocking people, hoping they’ll just “quit posting already”, and being generally annoyed, when people are sharing their businesses on social media, THE PROBLEM IS YOU, not them.
You’re a hater, too scared to chase a dream of your own. Knock it off.
Maybe instead of spending your precious time here on earth being critical of the people who are putting themselves out there, you could start something of your own. All the time you spend hating you could spend finding solutions to your excuses, doubts and fears.
I bet you all the people you rolled your eyes at would be your biggest supporters, because they get it. Heck if you asked them to help you get started they probably would.
Shout out to ALL my friends, family and followers who are building your empires. I’m proud of you, you inspire me every single day, and I will ALWAYS support you.
Never give up, you’re destined for greatness <3
