Asian Cabbage Salad

November 29, 20141 min read

This Asian cabbage salad is light, refreshing, and full of bright flavor. The crisp vegetables paired with a tangy sesame-ginger dressing make it perfect as a side dish or a light meal on its own.

It comes together quickly and tastes even better after it’s had a few minutes to marinate.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons fresh ginger juice

  • 2 tablespoons Bragg Liquid Aminos

  • 1/2 head Napa or Savoy cabbage (or green cabbage), thinly sliced

  • 1 carrot, shredded

  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 1/2 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, roughly chopped

  • Himalayan salt, to taste

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, lime juice, sesame oil, ginger juice, and liquid aminos.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot, red onion, green onion, and cilantro.

  3. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss well to coat.

  4. Season with salt to taste.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.
