Go As Far As You Can See … When You Get There, You’ll See Further.
You know what’s wild?
At this point in my life, I barely recognize the person I used to be.
I don’t even remember what it felt like to live in that body, with that mindset, carrying that weight. I don’t think the same way. I don’t react the same way. I don’t see the world through the same lens at all.
I don’t think like a victim anymore.
I don’t understand “I can’t.”
And when I hear things like “it’s too hard” or “it’s too expensive”, all I really hear is “I don’t believe I’m worth the effort.”
And that’s not judgment. That’s recognition.
Because I used to think that way too.
If you had told the old version of me where my life would be today, she wouldn’t have believed you for a second. She wouldn’t have believed she’d be confident. Or healthy. Or leading others. Or talking openly about mindset, money, or growth.
She definitely wouldn’t have believed she’d ever be someone people looked to for guidance.
At that point in my life, I couldn’t even imagine becoming the person I am now.
And that’s the part that gets me.
We can only see as far as our current perspective allows. We judge our future based on who we are today, forgetting that growth changes the way we see everything.
I love this quote:
“Go as far as you can see. When you get there, you’ll be able to see further.”
That’s exactly how growth works.
You don’t need to know the entire path. You don’t need a five-year plan. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to take the next step.
I still don’t know how far I can go. I still have limits I’m working through. I still catch myself thinking small sometimes.
But I also know this: I can see further than I could before.
And that tells me I’m moving in the right direction.
If you’re reading this and feeling stuck, unsure, or frustrated with where you are right now, I hope you remember this: you don’t need to see the whole staircase. You just need to take the next step.
One step leads to another. And eventually, you’ll look back and realize how far you’ve come.
