Real talk, it took me longer to do my hair and make up than it took me to do my workout today. Plus I have to take it all off later!
I am friends with a lot of women who reach out for help and then tell me they don’t have time to workout every day.
I see these same women with their perfect makeup and hair every day and I have to call BS.
They come to me with 20, 50, even 100+ pounds to lose. They say they want to change, but swear they don’t have time.
I say they DO have the time. They are just using it for other things.
Their priority of LOOKING good, is bigger than FEELING good.
They tell me they don’t have money, but are always caught up on the latest fashions.
They tell me they don’t have time, but they are at the hair salon, the nail salon and the mall.
Women spending all their money and time to look good, while reaching out to me telling me how truly miserable they are.
Putting more focus on what others think, than taking care of themselves.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti makeup, nails, or shoes AT ALL. I LOVE being girly. I own probably 60 dresses and my favorite heel height is 5″ or more.
This isn’t for the ladies who love all that and are perfectly happy!!! You ladies keep on keepin on.
What I’m against is unhappy people lying to themselves, and me, by saying they don’t have time.
My workout is 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
I wear makeup maybe once a week, if that, because I have other priorities.
There is no rule that says you have to look perfect to leave the house!
I had a successful sales career, a successful marketing career, and even set records in the beauty industry, all without make up on every day.
Some will say it makes them feel good. I wonder then, how does it feel when you take it off?
It’s obviously temporary or you wouldn’t be messaging me about how horrible you feel about yourself and how much you want things to be different.
A strong, healthy body, and a clear positive mind, does NOT go away when you get out the make up remover.
I see you ladies, and I call BS. If you really want change, change your priorities. I love you and you’re worth it <3
