One of the most common issues I have with clients is that they don’t drink enough water. There are a lot of ways to decide how much water you should drink a day. One of my favs is taking your body weight, cutting it in half, and drinking that many ounces.
You can image how well that goes over with some of my clients who have over 100 pounds to lose. They are not excited to spend every waking hour pounding water. I lot of people will resort to carbonated or flavored waters that you can buy at the store.
The issues I have with that is that sometimes they have chemicals in them and they cost money! You could spend a lot of money on bottled flavored waters for no reason.
My suggestion is, flavor your water yourself! I started doing this just with a pitcher that had a lid, so I could pour it out with no fruit coming out. My mom sent me an awesome infusion pitcher for my birthday after she saw me do this at her house and it’s been on ever since!
I have tried some really awesome ones that I would like to share with you:
- Cucumber / Strawberry
- Lemon / Lime
- Strawberry / Blueberry
- Strawberry / Kiwi
- Strawberry Mint
There are actually a ton of GREAT uses for these waters. They go over well at parties you are hosting, they look awesome, they keep you hydrated day to day, and they can even be used as mixers for alcohol for those of you trying to stay focused during celebratory events.
